Shri R. Srinivasan hailing from a needy family was provided free education and free boarding by Ramakrishna Mission Students Home, Mylapore, Chennai, from where he passed out with a Diploma in Automobile Engineering - thus started his desire to ‘aid and support needy students for education’.
From there he joined M/s Enfield India, as an apprentice and raised-up to the rank of Regional Manager. Further on he became an entrepreneur and a successful industrialist in the field of auto ancillary industry.
During his career and business year’s he was in close touch with Ramakrishna Mission Home and was giving donations regularly and also collecting & remitting donations from others. He has an endowment created at the Home.
In his later years he settled near his native village and started providing free hostel and free boarding facilities to poor young students sent from Ramakrishna Mission Home, he had upto 25 students at his hostel all provided for from his own business income - till his untimely demise in 2010.
In pursuance and to carry forward his charitable efforts, we, the Trustees have come together and formed this Charitable Trust.
The Charitable activity under the Trust Object "Aid to Students for Education" has commenced since May’2016.

During the year 2016 – 17 a sum of Rs 3.07 lacs was dispersed to 13 Students to support their education/ higher education. See statement ‘Details of Students Aided – 2016-17

Methodology:
The initial aim is to focus aid to three year Degree College students (both boys & girls) and also to an extent Plus-2 School students.

Funding:
To maintain the above and to assure financial aid to the students (this will enable the students to focus and excel in their academic performance), the Trust should create an assured source of annual income.
·        The Trust plans to achieve this by creating a substantial corpus fund.
A corpus fund of Rs 1.00 crore, collected in a span of three years and deposited in fixed deposit with bank or invested as stipulated in the income tax act, will yield an annual income the proceeds of which shall be used to meet “Aid to Students for Education” and other Charitable Object of the Trust.
